This Week on the Farm

This week was full of cleaning up after the snow storm last weekend. This time of year, the storms come and go quickly. One day a blizzard, the next sunny and 60. In their wake is left a muddy mess as the sun quickly begins to melt the snow. I won’t even talk about what my floors look like. Between the five of us and two dogs, it. is. ridiculous. Enough about that.

These storms do allow for some play time in work with the equipment as driveways and roads need to be dragged and graded, and friends and neighbors sometimes need a little help getting vehicles unstuck. No matter what, my fellas are always up to the task.

Don’t get me wrong, we always find time to play.

As I sit and write this, I have windows open to feel the warmth of the sun and listen to the birds chirping their hello. Ah…Colorado in springtime.
