I feel like there are really no words to truly convey the amount of stains I must remove from clothing every time I do laundry. Just having boys means lots of dirt and stains. When you add in living on a farm, there is no telling what kind of stains I will encounter. I make my own laundry detergent, which does a beautiful job (and saves me money), but most of the time, I still need a little extra help.
Enter this fantastic stain remover spray. I originally found it on The Prairie Homestead. I like the smell of lemon (and my detergent is unscented), so I added more lemon oil. It’s quick and easy to mix up and works wonders.
Laundry Stain Remover Spray
- 1½ cups water
- ¼ cup liquid Castile soap (like this one – I use the unscented, but use what you prefer)
- ¼ cup vegetable glycerin (like this)
- 20-25 drops of lemon essential oil (or your favorite) – optional
Mix the ingredients together in a spray bottle. Spray clothes, rub it in with your fingers, and let sit for a little bit (especially if the stain is a tough one).
Here’s to making your life a little easier!
