BBQ Chicken Pizza

Pizza once a week is a regularity around here. We do have a little pizza place in our small town, however, we love making our own. We made this BBQ Chicken Pizza last night and let me just say – oh my! It was delicious!! I used this no-knead pizza dough recipe, but you could just as well use this recipe as well. However you make it – just make it! You and yours will be glad you did!

Makes 2 large pizzas

Ingredients

  • Homemade or store bought pizza crusts
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
  • 1 red onion, sliced thin
  • 1 green pepper, sliced thin
  • Β½ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 cups Monterrey Jack cheese
  • Banana peppers (optional)

Directions

Preheat your oven to 350ΒΊ.

Place pizza crusts on large baking sheets (or pizza stone). Spread each with your favorite BBQ sauce (I like a spicy one). Add the chicken, red onion, green pepper, cilantro, banana peppers (optional), and cheese.

Bake for about 15 minutes, until the cheese is melted.

Remove from the oven and let cool for about 5 minutes before you slice it.
